QUESTION
Is your heater blower fan not working on 1 . 2 . 3 . but working on 4 .
Then chances are the thermal fuse on the resistor / controller has blown. VERY common problem.
Solution
1. Get a new resistor/ controller
2. Change the fuse.

I chose option 2. If you are up for it read on.
If your not up for it keep searching to find resistor/ controller unit. Thanks, good luck.

This listing is for 1 x thermal fuse ( only) to replace blown fuse in the heater blower/ resistor
These resistor/ controllers are used in many cars, I leave it to you to decide if this will work for you.
1 . remove resistor/ controller from your car
2 . pull away cover
3 . cut away old thermal fuse
4 . cut up old coat hanger or suitable wire ,use blue tack to position back and front of plates
5. Squash with plyers to bend out plates
6 . keep positioning and squashing till you can remove old wire legs of old fuse.
7 . position new fuse,mark ,and bend
8 . install new bent fuse into the plates
9 . squash the plates over the legs/ wire ends of the new fuse. Crimp them solid in place.
10. When the new fuse is solid secured in place press back on the metal holed cover.

Your done replace back in car.

Notes
These fuses are not polarized, can be installed either way, depending to you and bending and positioning.
You must take responsibility for your own job. If after looking through this job and seeing what I did, you should assess if you are up for it.
I can say it was fiddly.there were many opportunities where I could have made a mistake and it could have gone pear shape.
If your not up for it, just buy a new whole controller/ resistor.
I can’t be responsible for your work ! Thanks
Good luck . I enjoyed this job, mine is all now working so thumbs up as they say.PS you may be tempted to solder the new fuse in place. Be warned there is a HUGE chance that the heat of the soldering will blow the fuse before the solder melts. You could try heat sinks and you may have more soldering skills than me and may be able to do it. I did not chance it and replaced the fuse by crimping it back in place.THIS LISTING IS FOR 1 X THERMAL FUSE. FEEDBACK FROM THE MANY OF THESE I SOLD WAS THAT PEOPLE HAD WISHED THEY HAD BOUGHT TWO FOR ” mistakes” MADE.SO SEE MY OTHER LISTING IF THAT IDEAD IS FOR YOU AR I HAVE ANOTHER LISTING THE SAME AS THIS BUT WITH THE SECOND FUSE AT 1/2 PRICE AND NO EXTRA POSTAGE.
