Originally Offered For Sale back in May of this year. It was listed on EBAY as a Classified Advert from which it was sold.A deposit was received but after initial communication regarding the collection no further communication has been received and I have unfortunately misplaced any contact details.Photos provided and description below are of the original advert.I would ideally like to trace the original purchaser but if not possible and after this advert has ran its course the van will be listed again For Sale.Many ThanksOffered For Sale ismy 1981 French Registered Renault 4 Van, being sold as a RestorationProject.Afterreturning last September from our road trip returning with a Peugeot J9 Ihad spotted many Renault 4’s in gardens and on farms across France.I started to lookat found this on the South Coast of England having been imported by a collectorin 2017.Originallyfrom Rigault in France there is little history on the van whilst inFrance.Whilst in theUK and prior to my ownership work was started to re-commission it forthe road. Brakes had been gone through as had the running gear.When I collected itI drove it around on private land to check it over and returned with it on atrailer to the Midlands.Engine &Running Gear: Checking the numbers this is fitted with an early andrare 782cc Dauphine engine and 4 speed box both ran well but since storing it Ican now no longer starts, I haven’t spent any time other than charging thebattery. to ascertain why this now doesn’t start. The clutch and gearboxworked well when tested and remain free and with good pressurerespectively. Brakes are free with good pedal pressure also.Exterior.Solid bodywork which has signs of previous repair including scuttlepanel, replacement bonnet and wing. Some small areas with filler, repairs tobents not rot. There has been agricultural repairs previously tothe rear inner arches adjacent to the load floor, inner sills and variousother areas. The rear door has received repair also, I have acquired agood original replacement part which will be included in the sale. The frontfloor requires repair patches but not full replacement likesome. Rear inner arches are sound, there is no rot around the rearsuspension mounts, an area prone to rot. Front sill ends require small repair.This van comes with the rare rear ladder hatch, a rare element to find on theseand a superb feature. Inner arches and engine bay are in good solid condition.Wheels& Tyres: Original factory van steel wheels, tyres on which will requirereplacing.Interior:The cabin of the van remains complete and in reasonable condition with allelements working as they should. Good black vinyl seats, door cards completebut aged.Theseare becoming rare and are starting to attracting higher prices for vans in allconditions. This is an honest van with some work started but goes require workto complete before acquiring a UK MOT and then registering so has beenlisted at a value in accordance with the work I feel is required.Offeredas a Classified Listing to ensure the van is viewed prior topurchase. Close offers considered only when discussed in person and after youhave assessed all elements of the van.Genuineinterest only, my time outside of work is important me.
